At Betty Hannah, we believe in slow fashion, not fast fashion. We make gorgeous and classic clothing designed to be worn for years to come.
We choose high quality fabric that drapes well, wears well, and feels good against your skin. We are committed to reducing synthetic and artificial fibres in our clothing. We put an emphasis on sourcing natural fibers such as cotton, linen, and viscose. We use a small amount of elastene, or spandex in our fabrics to help retain the shape and provide comfort in wear.
We encourage our customers to sell and pass on pre-loved items to extend the life of each dress we produce. We never send last season inventory to incineration or landfill. Any dresses left over from our incredibly popular warehouse sales are donated to organizations that help women in need.

From concept to completion, we put love and care into every detail of our dresses.
We uniquely design every style from our own inspiration and draw a sketch, or sometimes sew a prototype.
From there, an expert pattern maker creates the pattern files and technical specifications. We consider everything to ensure the dress is stylish, functional, flattering, and versatile for multiple occasions.
Next our manufacturing partner makes a sample which we wear test. Often new styles go through multiple versions and fittings to perfect their cut, construction, and chosen materials.
During the production process our manufacturing partner applies rigorous quality control measures to ensure consistent fits and sewing quality across every dress made.

Betty Hannah is a woman-owned company. We are proud to support many American jobs and pay fair wages that allow professionals to support their families. We never use unpaid interns as we believe real work deserves real pay.
We cultivate trusted relationships with the factories we use in India and China, and work closely with them to establish that our standards are being upheld. Despite geographic and cultural differences, we have come to know our international counterparts as hard-working, genuine, and honest professionals who are doing their best to support their families.
